Om Kant Thakur is an experienced Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer with a background in software engineering. With over 6 years of relevant experience, he has worked for Samsung in various roles, including Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer. During his time at Samsung, Om Kant Thakur was responsible for developing software suites and integrated packages for SSDs. He has also developed various tools like Dump Analysis Tool, Firmware Download Tool, and Config Tool for SSDs under Linux platform in his last project in C programming language. He is skilled in analyzing Linux IO stack, IO engines, and Linux kernel tuning parameters to enhance the performance of storage devices (SSDs). He has also examined the IO stack FIO tool and debugged each IO path to the device to figure out the reasons for the bottleneck produced by Linux OS. He has modified codes of FIO tool to analyze and trace each IO issued to the storage device. Om Kant Thakur has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from NIT Patna. He also completed I.Sc. in Mathematics and Science from L.S. College and 10th from High School Dharampur. He is skilled in software engineering and mobile technologies. In his current role as an IAS officer, Om Kant Thakur is responsible for managing administrative affairs and implementing government policies.
